Participatory Budgeting gives our community the power to decide how $1 million of my capital dollars will be submitted for allocation in the citywide budget, so I'm proud to be one of the founding members of Participatory Budgeting in New York City Council. Eligible projects were refined into 9 proposals. Residents can then vote for up to 5 for me to fund next year.

The projects fall under 4 areas that will help improve our community overall. Libraries and Culture, Streets and Safety, Schools, and Education are all portions of the public budget to improve the lives of those in our community.
For more information on each of the projects, click ** here.
