<p style="font-size: 24px; text-align: left;">As the President and
Congress consider cutting the budget for the Environmental Protection
Agency by as much as $2.6 Billion, we must focus locally on what we
can do to improve our environment. </p>
<p style="font-size: 24px; text-align: left;">How local are am I
talking? - As as local as our public parks and the block you live on.
<br><br>Below are a few activities I took part in, which may interest
you as well. There is also a video at the end of this email. </p>

few weeks, I've had the chance to participate in a number of events to
improve the quality of our green space in NYC while also meeting a few

East 31st Street, and the Tildner Block Association to plant shrubs
around our new trees. Special thanks to Tildner Block Association
President Marjorie Faison, and <span>Michelle Hines</span> for
organizing this event, as well as the many families that came out to
help us plant. <br><br><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto;

Michelle Hines "A year ago, there were only two trees on this entire
block, now there are over 20." The city planted the trees at the
request of the residents.<br><strong><br><br></strong><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="FullSizeRender-5.jpg" src="http://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/josuepierre/mailings/319/attachments/original/FullSizeRender-5.jpg?1500595702" alt="FullSizeRender-5.jpg" width="438" height="249"><strong><br>Prospect Park is one of Brooklyn's greatest
treasures.</strong> It just needs a little cleaning up now and then.
Which is why I was happy to join the Brooklyn Young Democrats in their
Prospect Park Clean Up Day. We picked up bottles, plastic bags,
another debris around the Boat House and even out from the lake. </p>

baked goods, lemonade, and various foods. It was a great opportunity
to get to know the families and potential friends that live just a few
