>> Earlier this week I sponsored and introduced a resolution memorializing the Sassoon family and the tragedy of the Midwood fire, which occurred in the early hours of the Sabbath on March 21st, and resulted in the loss of seven of the eight Sassoon children. It was a tragedy that was not only felt here, but also in Israel.

>> I cannot bring the Sassoon children back, but I hope that this resolution can  give some level of comfort to their parents and sister, and to all of those who knew and loved them, knowing that the memory of their lives has been honored and preserved.
